Hauser Food Drive is underway!

The annual Hauser Food Drive kicked off last week at school. Following are the updates:

Food Donations
After our first food drop-off last Friday we collected a total of 1,332 cans. Below are the standings for the grade level competition:

  • 6th grade brought in 390 total cans
  • 8th grade brought in a total of 291 cans
  • 7th grade brought in a total of 269 cans

Donations will continue to be collected. Brown Bags of nonperishable food can be dropped off curbside on Friday mornings from 7:30-800am.

Monetary Donations
Monetary donations will be collected all month. Donations will purchase additional food and supplies for packing meals. Click on the following button to donate:

Food Packing
Hauser students have started packing meals in the cafeteria during their P.E. classes and have packed a total of 3,132 meals so far! We are on the way to 50,000.

Our drive will benefit – the Salvation Army’s Englewood Red Shield Center Food Pantry, the Riverside Township Food Pantry and the Share Love Share Food Food Pantry in Brookfield.

The Hauser PTO Food Drive is having a brown bag/non-perishable food curbside drop-off TONIGHT and FRIDAY AM!

Volunteers Needed – Audit Committee

The PTO is looking for volunteers for the Audit Committee. This committee is a one day commitment.

AUDIT Committee – 3 volunteers needed
The Audit committee reviews the PTO’s financial books from the 2020-2021 school year. This committee will meet for a few hours in early July. (A background in business or finance is helpful but not necessary.)

The Hauser PTO has two documents which guide the organization in conducting business – Bylaws and Standing Rules. Over the course of this year, Hauser PTO’s Bylaws and Standing Rules were reviewed and updated.

Following for review by the general membership are the proposed changes:

  • BYLAWS
    Article IV – Nominations & Elections, Sections 3b
    The nominating committee will consist of three members (instead of five)
  • STANDING RULES
    II. Standing Committee
    Remove Magazine Drive

The proposed changes will be voted on at the PTO general membership meeting on Thursday, May 13th at 7pm.
