Please consider volunteering for the Honor Roll Breakfast in Hauser’s cafeteria on Tuesday, December 13 between the hours of 6:30 and 9:00. Students on the honor roll will receive an invitation to the Breakfast at school. This is a great way to be with your child on his or her special morning celebration! We still need many volunteers, and would love your help:

Volunteer opportunities include:
Set up: 6:30 am-7:00 (3 people)
Check-in: 6:45-8:30 (2 people)
Servers: 6:45-8:30 (3 people)
Hall monitors: 7:00-8:45 (3 people)
Clean up: 8:30-9:00 (2 people)

If you’d prefer to donate items, we still need:
Grapes – 5 people to each bring in 3 pounds
Apples – 8 people to each bring in 2- 3 pound bags of small apples, one green and one red
Clementines – 7 people to each bring in one five pound box
Dunkin munchkin holes- 13 people to each bring in 1 box of 20
Mini muffins- 6 people to each bring in 1 box of mini muffins
Hard boiled eggs- 1 person to bring in 4 dozen peeled eggs
Mini 4-pack yogurts- 15 people to each bring in 3 packs

Hauser Productions is holding an open casting call for all volunteers interested in chaperoning the honor roll recognition event. The three dates are:

March 11 at 6:45 p.m. for 7th grade parents

March 18 at 6:45 p.m. for 6th grade parents

April 15 at 6:45 p.m. for 8th grade parents

The District 96 calendar lists an Honor Roll Recognition event for December 14. Please don’t send your Honor Roller to school early that day for a breakfast event.

Students who make the Honor Roll in the first and second trimesters will be recognized with a movie night in the spring. There will be more details for later. For now, mark your calendars: March 11 for seventh graders, March 18 for sixth graders, and April 15 for eighth graders.

Congratulations to all 2010 Spring Honor Roll Students! The Spring Honor Roll Breakfast is Monday, March 15, from 7:00am to 8:30am. Students will enjoy donuts, fruit, milk, and juice. Students who made the honor roll will receive a personal invitation this week.

Due to some behavior problems at the last breakfast, we are asking that all parents remind their students to be on their best behavior to avoid being sent to the office.

Reminder: The Honor Roll Breakfast is Tuesday, December 15 from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m.

Hauser has three levels of honor roll:

Straight A = All A’s, no incompletes, no comment codes of 3 or 6
High Honor Roll = 5 or more A’s, no grade below a B, no incompletes, no comment codes of 3 or 6
Honor Roll = B average, no grade below a C, no incompletes, no comment codes of 3 or 6

Students on the Honor Roll will receive invitations to the Honor Roll Breakfast through their 9th period teachers. The Honor Roll will be posted outside the office by Friday of this week. The honor roll lists are also published in the local newspaper each trimester.

Congratulations to all 2009 Fall Honor Roll Students! The Fall Honor Roll Breakfast is Tuesday, December 15, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. A hot breakfast will be served. Students will enjoy french toast sticks and syrup, sausages, donut holes, fruit and beverages. We look forward to seeing you.

We have many wonderful volunteers helping with this event and hope to find a few more. If anyone is able to donate a food item, mainly fruit or a box of donut holes, please contact Lisa Veon or Mary Heuel (see directory for contact information).
