Posted May 12, 2012 | Category: 8th Grade Events/Graduation, Graduation, News

Immediately following the graduation ceremony on June 6, Hauser eighth graders will follow their own “Walk of Fame,” over to the Riverside Town Hall. They will be treated to an evening of dancing, socializing, celebrating, and light refreshments.

Parent permission is required for each student attending the graduation celebration. Download and complete the permission slip, and return it to the Hauser office by May 18. For their safety, students will need to be checked out to an authorized adult before they can leave the building.

Life Touch composite pictures of the Class of 2011 (last year’s 8th graders) are available in the Hauser office. This is not the historic panoramic photo, but the free composite that each graduate is given from Life Touch.

You or a sibling currently attending Hauser may pick up your child’s composite photo in the Hauser office. The Graduation composite pictures will only continue to be available for pick-up until Friday, September 30.

8th Grade Graduation Party Check-Out Procedures

Posted May 28, 2011 | Category: 8th Grade Events/Graduation

This information was originally posted on May 28, 2011. Please note that the article refers to events from a previous school year.

To ensure that the graduation party is a safe and fun event, and that all students can be accounted for post-party, each 8th grader must be physically checked out of the party by a parent or guardian. On the permission slip submitted, parents indicated who would be picking up their students(s). These instructions will be strictly followed.

Parents/designated guardians should come in the front doors of Town Hall and come up to the second floor to meet your student(s). We ask that you then proceed to the back door and stairwell and check out with your child and any children you have permission to pick up.

We understand that parking may be a challenge, so please plan accordingly. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring that each child is accounted for and arrives home safely.

Any questions or concerns regarding checkout can be directed to Patti Corcoran at corckp@yahoo.com.

Hauser PTO is looking for a volunteer to videotape the panel discussion “What I Wish I Had Known” on Wednesday, May 25, at 7:00 p.m. “What I Wish I Had Known” is a presentation, by a panel of former Hauser students who now attend RBHS, about what to expect as a freshman at RB. The PTO would like to make a video available for 8th grade students who cannot attend the presentation. If you are able to volunteer yourself (and your camera) for this, please contact Lisa Aulerich-Marciniak. Many thanks!

We’ve put together another great panel of former Hauser students who now attend RBHS and are willing to let you know all the things they wish someone had told them before they walked through the doors as freshmen. Come hear what they have to say in the Hauser Library at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25. Questions? Contact Lisa Aulerich-Marciniak.
