The annual Hauser Food Drive kicks off this week at school. The drive will look a little different but, as it has for the last 50 years, it will help in the fight against hunger when so many are in need.

Check out all the details of this year’s drive below.

Month of April

  • Our community packing event did not happen in 2020
  • Students will be packing 50,000 macaroni and cheese meals during their PE classes
  • Community event will not be able to happen again this year due to capacity limits

  • Hauser Food Drive received a large donation from the Christ Presbyterian Church in North Riverside of $6,900
  • We were a beneficiary of the sale of the church after it closed
  • The community meal packing event started at this church in 2012
  • We are very grateful and will continue to further the mission of helping the hungry

For the month of April, Hauser will pick up where we left off last year when our food drive came to an abrupt end. We will pack 50,000 meals and strive for every student to bring in a brown bag full of food for those in need. Our drive will benefit – the Salvation Army’s Englewood Red Shield Center Food Pantry, the Riverside Township Food Pantry and the Share Love Share Food Food Pantry in Brookfield. We hope you will help us reach our goals!
