1st fridayWow – we can’t believe another school year is coming to a close! This is the last “First Friday Feature” of the school year, and we know that many parents are already making summer plans for their Hauser students. So, for this month’s feature, we thought to share with you some summer opportunities that might be fun for your children.

  • A fun camp we recently learned about is the Shenanigans Improv Camp, started by Hauser and RB graduate Jacob Palka. During this month-long camp, students will learn and perfect the basic skills of improvisation, and will perform their original improv and sketch-comedy show for an audience of friends, family and the community at the end. • If your student is interested in trying a new sport, Riverside Brookfield High School offers a plethora of two-week camps – basketball, softball, volleyball, to name a few. Go to their website for details and registration information.
  • Does your student love to read? The local libraries are always looking for summer volunteers. Stop in the youth services department of your town’s library to get more information.
  • The Rec Departments in Riverside, North Riverside and Brookfield all have awesome camps and programming – below are the links to their websites for more details!!
